Video Pen (these instructions are in addition to the manufacturers instructions included with the Pen.

Please follow these additional instructions to get the most from your new Video Pen.

1… First, fully charge the battery in the pen. Plug the pen into the USB port in your computer using the adapter cable supplied. First the yellow light will blink indicating that the battery is being charged. The yellow light will stop blinking when the pen battery is fully charged. A fully charged battery will record for around 2 hours.

If you are recording a video at any time and the battery becomes flat during the recording the electronics in the pen will store the video file then shut the pen down. You will need to recharge the battery before taking more video.

2… To operate the Video Pen,  Press the button on top of the pen quickly. A yellow light will turn on and the electronics in the pen will boot up. This is the “Stand By” mode and can take 10-12 seconds before the pen is ready to take video.

3…To take a video.   With the pen in the “Stand By” mode, (yellow light on) quickly press the button on top of the pen. This will start the Video and Audio Recording and the light will turn to blue.

Please Note:  If you press the button to start a recording before the pen has fully booted up the yellow light will stay on, The Pen will start to record after the boot up time has been completed, at which time the light turns to blue and the recording will start.

4…To stop the recording: Press the button quickly again. After a few seconds the blue light will turn to yellow (Recording Stops and the Pen is now in the  (Stand By Mode)

You can start another recording by pressing the button quickly again.

5… To turn the Pen off:  While the Pen is in the “Stand By Mode”  Press and HOLD down the button for 3 seconds until the yellow light turns off.
